Benefits by Hair Color

BLOND (Light to medium, natural or highlighted)

•Pro tip: Use the Warm glaze if hair color looks dull; use Cool if it looks brassy.

BRONDE (Brunette with blond highlights)

•Refreshes faded blond highlights on brunettes.

•Minimizes orange and yellow tones caused by oxidation.

VERY DARK (Espresso to near-black)

•Reduces orange and red tones from sun, hard water, and oxidation.

•Enhances subtle natural highlights by removing brassiness.

•Great for dark hair with blonde highlights, as it helps remove unwanted yellow from the lighter pieces.

•Pro tip: If color looks dull, use Warm; if brassy, use Cool.

GRAY (Silver, white, or salt-and-pepper)

•Targets yellowing caused by age, sun, styling products, and hot tools—especially on longer ends.

•Brightens dull, yellowed gray, so it looks cleaner and more luminous.

•Softens coarse, wiry texture of gray and adds shine for a more youthful look.

How Frequently to Apply?

It is generally safe to use a glaze every two to four weeks and is a great way to refresh your color in between salon visits. For example, if you come to the salon every four to six weeks for color, you can apply a glaze two to three weeks after each visit. Also good to have on hand while traveling and unable to see your colorist.

Glaze Kit Contents

Each at-home glaze is good for one application and includes:

• 1 glaze tube

• 1 shaker bottle pre-filled with activator

• 1 pair of rubber gloves

• Application instructions

Application Instructions

1. Pre-wash: Shampoo hair, then rinse thoroughly.
2. Prep: Towel dry your hair (wrap longer hair in a towel) to absorb excess moisture. Place a towel around your shoulders to protect clothing. Comb through hair to remove any knots.
3. Mix: Squeeze the entire contents of the Color Amplifying Glaze tube into the pre-filled Applicator bottle. Shake well to mix thoroughly.
4. Apply: Quickly apply the entire Glaze mixture to damp hair, from roots to ends, directly from the tip of the shaker bottle (remove the secondary cap on the tip). Massage into your hair as if gently shampooing.
5. Process: For long to mid-length hair, twist your hair on top of your head and cover it with a shower cap while the glaze processes. Allow to process for 7 minutes or 10 minutes for Cool Lift and Clear Lift glazes.
6. Rinse and Condition: Rinse the glaze out in the shower. Shampoo, then condition as usual. For best results, skip the conditioner and apply Eva’s Recover – Curative Hair Treatment after shampooing and squeezing out excess water, to help seal the cuticle, boost shine, and extend the life of the glaze. Leave Recover in your hair for 5 - 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly (condition as the last step for extra slip).

Pro tips: Apply the glaze to problem color areas first, then to the rest of your hair. Aim to complete the application within 1-2 minutes, as the glaze begins processing immediately. Do not skip the root area, even if it is a different color from the rest of your hair. The glaze will not alter your base color but will help blend the tones for a smooth and silky finish. Don’t wash your hair for the next 48 hours so the cuticle can fully close.
